ABOUT US

Serving our Community since 2006.

That was the year the original  "Gayly Oklahoman"  stopped publication. To serve the community, the OKCOUT website went live. Most clubs and organizations had no website, or social media presence at that time.  The iPhone wasn't introduced until the following year. OKCOUT proudly filled the void and posted events from LGBTQ+ venues and organizations.

Many things have changed since then, most for the betterment of all. We will miss many the pioneers who led the way: The Free Spirit club, the Warehouse, Wreck Room, Tony Sinclair, Ginger Lamar, and the Hi-Lo Club.

Thanks to the Oklahoma Historical Society, issues of the original "Gayly Oklahoman" during that era are digitized, and can be accessed below.

The original OKCout logo, premiering in 2006, featured at Pride events, outdoor ads, and weekly "Oklahoma Gazette" ads.
